You can apply for social assistance if you are unable to support yourself and your family. On this page you can read how to apply, and what to expect. ## Procedure When you apply for social assistance Register as unemployedVisitation interviewApplication for the social assistance ## Register as unemployed On your first day as unemployed, you must: Contact Jobcenter Assens to register as unemployed before applying for social assistance. You can either show up in person or call and make an appointment. It is important that you register as unemployed on the first day of unemployment in order to receive social assistance. It is therefore not possible to apply retrospectively. Once it has been determined whether you are entitled to social assistance, the benefit will be paid from the day you have made yourself available for work at the job centre. ## Register as unemployed On your first day as unemployed, you must: Contact Jobcenter Assens to register as unemployed before applying for social assistance. If it is relevant in relation to being able to get employment or education, we will also discuss your general social situation. We must focus on the job market, and it is our core task to constantly think about your opportunities for employment. This means we will guide and support you in preparing a strategy for your job goals. Det får du brug for til din ansøgning: 1. For at vi kan behandle din ansøgning, har vi brug for dokumentation for indestående på samtlige af dine konti i pengeinstitut, med posteringer for de seneste tre måneder. Det er vigtigt, at dine kontonumre fremgår af posteringerne. 2. Derudover har vi brug for dokumentation for årsagen til din ansøgning om hjælp til forsørgelse. Det kan være en kopi af din opsigelse; ophør i midlertidig ansættelse (kontrakt/aftale) eller dokumentation for ophørt uddannelse. 3. Hvis du har børn i udlandet, skal du vedhæfte fødselsattest eller lignende for dine børn og dokumentere, at du bidrager til forsørgelsen af dem. 4. Hvis du er tilflyttet fra en anden kommune, hvor du inden for det seneste år har modtaget kontanthjælp, uddannelseshjælp, selvforsørgelses- og hjemrejseydelse eller overgangsydelse, har vi brug for en samtykkeerklæring fra dig, så vi kan indhente oplysninger om din sag fra din tidligere bopælskommune. We also work with business internship, Rehabilitation, Repatriation and Case processing for citizens not receiving any benefits.
